Antminer S21 Pro: The Shiny New Toy on the Block

At 15 watts per terahash, the S21 Pro is the most efficient ASIC on the market. Not just through Blockware, but in the entire industry

The S21 Pro at the Blockware hosting rate of $0.078 mines 1 BTC for ~$35,000 in electricity.

This gives you enormous profit margins right off the bat and provides you with plenty of downside protection in the event that BTC takes a further price dip.

This, alongside the original S21, will likely be the bread and butter ASIC of the 2024 – 2028 cycle.

Whatsminer M66s: “Pour Gas on the Fire”

On paper, the M66s may look marginally less attractive than the S21 Pro. It costs more up-front and it’s less energy efficient.

However, there are some unique value propositions to choosing this machine instead…

Blockware Solutions

1. Higher Hashpower = Higher Profits During Bull Market

The M66s has a nameplate hashrate of 268 TH/s, but this is an immersion machine, and it can be overclocked to gain additional power with no loss in efficiency.

Blockware’s M66s’s are averaging an astounding ~330 TH/s. During bull markets, the M66s will be more profitable than the S21 because the increased hashpower outweighs the slight drop in efficiency.

Helpful imagery here is to imagine pouring gasoline onto a fire. When Bitcoin is ripping, you want as much hashrate as possible; being slightly less efficient won’t matter.

2. Discounted Hosting Rate

We are still running our 4th of July promotion until the end of this week. All M66s’s purchased before EOD Friday, July 12th, will get to mine with a rate of $0.074/kWh. This is a 5% discount to our traditional rate of $0.078/kWh.

The table below juxtaposes the financials of each machine.

Revenue is calculated using a hashprice of $0.048/Th/Day.

Cost is calculated using an electricity rate of $0.078/kWh for the S21, and $0.074/kWh for the M66s.

This table shows what the profitability will look like in the event that Bitcoin goes on the bull run that many are expecting.

Using a hashprice estimate of $0.15/Th/Day, a single M66s would bring in ~$1,180 per month in profit.

This is a very conservative hashprice estimate as it is less than half of the previous cycle’s peak.

Furthermore, hashprice only needs to hit ~$0.051/Th/Day in order for the M66s to earn higher profits than the S21.

TL;DR

Both Machines have their merit and will perform extremely well in the months and years to come. The right choice boils down to individual preference.

Do you want the single most efficient ASIC that money can buy?

Go with the S21 Pro.

Do you want to deploy more capital up-front, max out your hashrate, and reap the reward during the bull market?

Go with the M66s

If you’d like to purchase either of these machines, head to our Marketplace where you can purchase them turnkey!
