Bitcoin miners earned a gross revenue of just under $4 billion for Q1 2025. This is the highest grossing quarter since the 2024 halving, and the fifth highest grossing quarter of all-time. At the current pace, 2025 could surpass 2021 as the highest grossing year in the history of Bitcoin mining.

This chart shows the market average ‘breakeven’ / cost of production price for all Bitcoin miners. This is inclusive of miners using older machines and/or mining with higher electricity rates. (The actual cost of production for miners with low-cost power and efficient machines, such as Blockware’s hosted clients, is much lower)

When this metric aligns with the price of Bitcoin – as it is doing now – that has accurately signaled a local bottom for Bitcoin, with a 100% success rate.
